Do you want to work in the Legal & Tax department in the largest sovereign wealth fund in the world?

Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is seeking a student currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in law to join part-time the Subsidiary & Corporate Management team, part of NBIM Legal & Tax.

Legal & Tax is NBIM’s centralized legal function with employees based in London, Luxembourg, New York and Oslo. We assist and advise all NBIM business areas on their legal and tax requirements in respect of NBIM’s organisation and the investment portfolio, both listed and unlisted. The Subsidiary & Corporate Management team is responsible for providing corporate secretarial services to the Norges Bank’s direct investments in real estate and renewable energy infrastructure in Europe and the US. Norges Bank has a subsidiary structure of more than 130 companies.

The position is based in London and will report to Head of Subsidiary & Corporate Management, Guro Heimly.

Duties And Responsibilities

What you will do


  • Deliver administrative support for company secretarial services to Norges Bank's subsidiaries, working alongside the Subsidiary & Corporate Management team to facilitate board meetings, AGMs, and related activities.
  • Assist with maintaining statutory company books and records, submitting statutory filings to the UK Companies House and to company registries outside the UK.
  • Assist with company documentation management and contract management, including template legal documentation, KYC requests, execution of agreements, and arrange for proper archiving.
  • Assist with technological and AI developments related to company secretarial services and other areas in the Legal & Tax team.
  • Other administrative and legal tasks to assist the NBIM Legal & Tax team.


Qualifications (heading)

What You Need


  • Studying law, preferably in your final year of a Bachelor of Laws degree, or enrolled in further professional law education, such as the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).
  • Some work experience is required, and experience with company secretarial services is an advantage.
  • Experience and interest in legal tech and AI is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of business French is an advantage.

The position is part-time (40%), allowing you to balance work with your studies. You'll work two days per week with flexible hours to accommodate your academic schedule. The internship will run for twelve months, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement.
