The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Campus Oldham (Higher Education at Oldham College) for a Student Life Officer. We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual who is able to support students with their mental health and wellbeing from application to graduation.
As the Student Life Officer, you will work closely with internal support teams across both FE and HE as well as build excellent working relationships with external agencies and key stakeholders to improve the overall offer for wellbeing services.
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the mental health issues faced by students in higher education along with an awareness of the current areas of focus within the sector.
The successful candidate will have ideally worked within an education or health and social care setting where they have managed a caseload of clients and worked with adults on a 1:1 basis to improve outcomes through a person centred, cross-collaborative approach.
