Role Overview
As Studio and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our busy studio, enabling the wider team to do their best work. This role sits at the heart of operations, culture and logistics; managing everything from technology platforms and processes, to people support and internal communications. You’ll oversee core administrative functions and optimise internal systems to ensure day-to-day activities run seamlessly and long-term initiatives are implemented.
This is a hands-on, proactive role suited to someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership, and gets things done. You will have an eye for detail and love creating order in a fast-paced, creative environment.
What You Will Be Doing
This role has 7 primary focus areas:
1) Studio Operations & Administration
- Manage the day-to-day running of the studio, including phones, post, supplies, sundries and team lunches.
- Proactively identify and implement operational and process improvements.
- Look at operations with a longer time horizon to develop and implement plans that improve our operations, efficiency, and capabilities over the longer term.
- Manage company broadband, email and key business services, systems and tools..
- Administer system access (setup, passwords, onboarding/offboarding).
- Act as a point of contact for external suppliers and coordinate contracts, services, and office maintenance.
2) Finance & Procurement Support
- Monitor and manage studio expenditure to avoid wastage and ensure value. Hold a company credit card and oversee day-to-day payments and finance admin. Oversee platform subscriptions and usage to ensure cost-efficiency and value.
- Order and maintain hardware and software.
- Working with the Managing Director and leadership team, support the annual budgeting process: coordinating inputs, gathering data, and making cost-saving recommendations.
- Identify relevant suppliers, coordinate and lead the procurement process to ensure the team has the right tools and the business operates efficiently.
3) Meetings & Planning
- Coordinate key internal meetings (e.g. weekly kick-offs, wrap-ups, annual away days, ops meetings) and, in some cases, chair them. This includes gathering and preparing data and information, creating supporting presentations and preparing agendas.
- Maintain calendars and support scheduling for senior leaders and all-hands events.
- Organising travel arrangements for the leadership team and consultants
4) People, HR & Culture
- Support recruitment: writing job descriptions, posting job ads, liaising with candidates, issuing NDAs and contracts.
- Onboard and offboard employees and freelancers, including benefits setup and tech configuration.
- Maintain company intranet and internal documentation (e.g. HR policies, employee handbook).
- Support HR processes, including annual reviews, policy updates, and employee feedback loops.
- Track team holiday days.
- Champion team culture: organise socials, birthdays, and internal engagement initiatives.
5) Capacity, Process & Efficiency
- Monitor and flag time-sheet compliance to line managers.
- Track team capacity and support our consulting directors on business capacity for upcoming projects.
- Proactively identify, implement, and monitor processes that improve efficiency across teams.
- Champion the adoption of new tools and workflows, researching solutions and managing roll-out.
6) Marketing & Communications
- Support marketing activity by managing and scheduling newsletter emails and social posts.
- Support business development content and campaign rollouts in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Support marketing reporting and analytics, for example, website, newsletter, and Linkedin data. Gather data, prepare reports and presentations.
- Organise and own logistics for business development events.
7) Consulting Team & Client Support
- Assist project teams with project logistics: venue booking, printing, travel, onboarding freelancers, and liaising with finance.
- Administer client paperwork: signing and tracking NDAs, MSAs, and onboarding documents.
Skills And What You Will Bring
Essential:
Operations or Studio Management Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience running day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, professional services or creative studio environment.
- Responsibility for managing budgets and costs, gathering financial data, and contributing to budgeting/planning cycles.
Tech & Platform Proficiency
- Confident managing cloud-based tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Zoom, HubSpot or similar CRMs), including user setup, subscriptions, and troubleshooting.
Process-Oriented Mindset
- Ability to design, implement, and embed processes that improve efficiency, clarity, and collaboration.
Strong Organisational & Project Coordination Skills
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks, managing logistics, and keeping initiatives on track.
Excellent Communication Skills
- Able to write clearly and concisely, run internal meetings, liaise with suppliers, and communicate professionally with clients and team members.
Discretion and Reliability
- Experience handling sensitive information (e.g. contracts, budgets, HR matters) with care and professionalism.
Tools
- You will be proficient with Google Workspace, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, Slack and task management tools such as Trello.
Energy

Desirable:
Marketing Operations Familiarity
- Comfortable scheduling email campaigns and social posts, and supporting basic marketing reporting (e.g. pulling performance stats, managing content calendars).
- Familiarity with Hubspot.
HR or People Operations Experience
- Exposure to recruitment admin, onboarding, benefits, and maintaining HR documentation or platforms.
Event or Workshop Coordination
- Has successfully planned and delivered team socials, workshops or client events.
Experience in a Growing Business or Start-Up
- Comfortable adapting to change and wearing multiple hats in a scale-up or consultancy environment.
