We're looking for a Sub Agent with civil engineering experience to join our Highways Major Projects team on the A417 project based in Gloucester. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing engineering oversight and supervising production resources, ensuring that work within your designated area complies with both project requirements and company policies and system.

Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire – expected to work from the A417 site 5 days a week
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime 45 hours per week
Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 per year + private healthcare + £5.9k annual car allowance + benefits
Responsibilities
As a Sub Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the technical delivery of the project (or assigned section) aligns with the design specifications, while meeting safety standards, deadlines, and quality requirements.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Managing supervisors, site engineers and section engineers, and ensuring suitable and sufficient quality assurance reporting and daily monitoring is carried out
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the specification as well as the management and monitoring of Sub-Contractor
- Ensuring all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded
Who are we looking for?
This role of Sub Agent is great for you if have:
- Relevant qualifications – HNC, degree level, or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in successfully managing a project as well as management skills (control and management of a team)
- SMSTS and CSCS and/or CPCS Card
