The role
As a Subcontractor Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be part of an incredible, diverse, and inclusive team of talented professionals, bringing specialist knowledge, management skills, and technical expertise across a wide range of products, technologies, and collaborative solutions—supporting both our internal and external customers.
Day-to-day, you’ll control and coordinate the operational requirements and safety performance of subcontractors across both major and minor projects. Additionally, you will:
- Manage and control work scope changes, minimise downtime and variation claims, and identify opportunities to remove blockers that hinder project delivery
- Ensure project changes are thoroughly documented and tracked, challenging subcontractor claims where needed and providing detailed substantiation for client submission
- Maintain strict adherence to customer flow-down requirements, ensuring subcontractor compliance
- Oversee that subcontractor health and safety systems foster a safe working environment for all contractors, employees, and visitors
- Ensure all critical steps in subcontractor processes align with the Quality Plan
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential Experience Of The Subcontractor Coordinator
- Sound knowledge of project management principles and best practices
- Ability to manage budgets and interpret financial data
- Understanding of project cost controls, earned value reporting, and budgeting
- Background in marine, oil and gas, renewables, engineering, or manufacturing industries
- Engineering knowledge and experience in construction projects and subcontractor management is advantageous
Qualifications For The Subcontractor Coordinator
- A technical qualification (HNC/HND level) or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with subcontractor compliance processes, particularly within the SHE Management System and SAF/POL/2/013
