Elekta is seeking an experienced Supplier Development and Quality Engineer ( indirect suppliers).
Elekta operates a centralized category and business driven Indirect Procurement function, operating across 3 regions, being Americas, EMEA and China/APAC and the global indirect spend is also grouped by Category, so Indirect Procurement organisation is structured as a matrix. Direct Material Purchasing is within the Business Lines in Elekta and not in this responsibility area.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive improvements in the compliance with regulations and Elekta requirements, and overall quality of goods and services provided by suppliers. They should be a specialist in the tools, processes and management of supplier quality and development processes. Indirectly managing and leading others, driving improvement initiatives spanning multiple areas of the organization and geographical locations

What you’ll do at Elekta:
Your role will include (but not limited to)
- Ensure that products and services are provided and used in a controlled, environmentally responsible and regulatory compliant way according to the agreed quality standards.
- Maintain the integrity of the Approved Supplier List and supplier data in relevant systems
- Ensure all suppliers are categorised enabling accurate risk assessment
- Ensure supplier approval, supplier management and compliance documentation are maintained so Elekta is always audit-ready.
- Controlling NCR (=Non-Conformities Request) process
- Management of supplied material quality issues raised by stakeholders through NCR and CLM processes. Working with suppliers to ensure quality problems are effectively Contained and Root Cause analysis conducted using appropriate problem-solving tools, including 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone and DOE. Ensure effective CAPA is implemented to prevent reoccurrence, including horizontal deployment across other product lines.
- Develop proactive quality plans with suppliers and promote a zero-defect culture that reduces the need for upstream inspection and testing activities.
- Develop positive relationships with internal and external interfaces, including suppliers, strategic buyers, category heads, procurement heads, R&D, manufacturing and service ensuring customer requirements are understood and achieved.
- Supporting the Procurement Working Group with updates to global Procurements documents, processes, systems and reporting
- Ensuring that annual supplier reviews are completed.

- Capable of representing the quality and development functions at all levels both inside and outside the company.
- Able to work in a matrix environment and work independently.
What you bring:

- A strong engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality/development background is essential.
- A minimum of HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience of driving supplier quality improvements using best practice tools and processes.
- Successful and demonstrable experience of facilitating improvement workshops.
- Well-developed IT skills.
- Fluent in English, preferably with a second language.
