At VWFS UK we are on an exciting journey and we are looking for a Supplier Performance Manager to join our Customer Operations department on a permanent basis to maintain key relationships and performance management with our Outsource Partners.
The role is required to actively manage the performance, risk compliance, IT compliance and contractual compliance of Suppliers who provide critical, strategic or tactical services to VWFS UK and VWFS customers.
The role holder will have daily contact with Customer Services OR Collections & Recoveries outsourced partners such as Everyday People Financial Services (EPFS) and Arvato, and a range of other suppliers as needed.
You must be able to proactively establish and maintain relationships with any Partner we work with and your fellow Partner Supplier Team colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Manage the performance of multiple suppliers against SLA’s, KPI’s, contractual terms, budgetary spend, compliance, complaints, quality and risk.
- Effectively govern any non-compliance or failure of supplier service by leading strict improvement action plans, including Quality Assurance, and holding supplier accountable to protect VWFS UK and our customers. Ensure a thorough and timely review of any such action plans and take the necessary actions to prevent re-occurrence.
- Work with VWFS UK Legal and Compliance to ensure supplier contracts protect our business, drive the required levels of supplier performance and meet all regulatory requirements.
- Manage supplier spend compliance in line with Procurement approval and undertake necessary steps required to maintain relevant thresholds where required and eliminate any rogue payments.
- Support our suppliers with subject matter expertise, staying informed internally of any regulatory or process changes and ensure that these changes are communicated effectively to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Identify key opportunities and complete root cause analysis to influence and improve the current ways of working between our suppliers and internal VWFS operational teams, implementing any changes required to increase service levels, performance and customer experience
- Influence the operational mid-tier and senior management by providing knowledge and outcome information on supplier processes and interactions with the relevant operational teams e.g. through customer journey reviews
- Attend key meetings with the Supply Manager to lead presentations on supplier services/products - understand future customer requirements/needs and implement supplier initiatives to deliver against these needs
- Complete regular market research and supplier benchmarking for designated supply areas; ensure VWFS UK supplier panels and bidder lists include market leading suppliers, providing the highest levels of service and innovation
Skills And Experience
We are looking for someone who is passionate about customers and customer service. Someone who understands the importance of a right first-time approach, improving customer satisfaction by reducing both friction and onward operational processing costs.
- Strong communication skills, verbally and written up to Senior Management level
- Commercial acumen focused on delivering value and good customer outcomes
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to influence the performance of external suppliers
- Previous experience in Financial Services Industry
- Highly organised self-starter
- Demonstrable experience in supplier management for service and product-based suppliers
- CIPS or equivalent qualification advantageous (working towards or completed)
- Experience of analysing and interpreting multiple sources of performance data, and making thought provoking presentations and recommendations
- Experience in managing and navigating procurement processes
- Experience of identifying and delivering process improvement and efficiencies
- Familiarity with VWFS UK supplier product portfolio and brands advantageous
