We are looking for a passionate Supply Chain Program Manager - FSR  to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.

Within CO+I, the strategic Supply Chain team is responsible for establishing a supply chain that can meet the ever-growing Microsoft Cloud for our customers. We support a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects and operations of those assets.

Responsibilities

Analytics, Tools, and Processes:

  • Manages data sources for analyzing supply. Translates data into business insights for senior leaders to provide meaning for the organization's goals. Interprets data to help make assumptions or predictions of business needs for component or product level. Designs and optimizes processes regarding overall data management and utilization. Manages process improvements, actions, and reports progress. Oversees the creation of dashboards to visualize and present supply-chain analysis and metrics. Leads the identification of gaps in order to understand the root cause. Uses data for insights to inform business improvements. Leverages increasingly complex datasets to synthesize insights.
  • Serves as an expert in tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements to avoid additional labor needs. Provides automation and scales systems for inventory. Implements and provides oversight for checks and balances into the system to ensure risks and liability are in check. Summarizes complex systems or processes into simplified supply chain fundamental steps. Drives process changes and improvements. Guides standardization and maturity processes. Beginning to coach and mentor other team members with challenges.

Communication

  • Serves as a key point of contact between teams to ensure priorities are defined, communicated, and executed. Communicates with stakeholders, including senior leaders. Communicates status, drives recommendations for change, and influences others for decisions needed. Simplifies complex terminology for stakeholders.

Lifecycle And Inventory Management

  • Addresses obsolescence of goods and proposes recommendations. Reacts to changes in demand build and deployment and provides leadership to correct complex issues. Reworks/refurbishes finished goods, designs mitigation solutions for goods, and redeploys them in another area, when applicable. Drives strategy for processes to understand root cause. Develops strategies increasingly complex mitigation challenges. Tracks excess and obsolescence (E&O) budgets and targets.
  • Oversees the planning of raw materials for the building of products or goods. Directs the transitioning of old products to new products while avoiding materials stranded and yield and binning issues. Provides oversight for process determining quantity of materials needed for last time buy decisions to ensure goods can continue to be made. Defines buffer strategy leveraging understanding of the buffer calculation; provides recommendations change buffers as needed. Leverages understanding of capacity and incorporates into buffer strategy. Drives raw materials and finished good plans in conjunction with each other. Develops ramps and works with sourcing and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams on individual component liabilities to advise senior leaders on risk.

Strategy

  • Applies strategy of how to react to determine best operating model for forward and reverse planning strategy to optimize service levels, costs, and inventory positioning based on uncertainty of true demand. Collaborates with the team developing the strategy to transfer of materials, builds, and shipments out of the factory. Aligns forecast/order and/or inventory targets. Identifies process gaps, establishes a methodology for prioritization, and makes recommendations to leadership. Aligns recommendations with cross-functional partners. Drives efficiencies and sets performance metrics. Addresses imbalances and proposing mitigation strategies Designs solutions to adjust to changes in demand after deployment; may oversee the reworking of finished goods inventories. Shapes demand to manage inventory. Ensures consideration for supplier capacity and manufacturing ramifications.

Supplier Operations / Field Services Management

  • Works closely with suppliers to remove obstacles or provide resources to meet build plan and align on a favorable supply plan. Reviews staffing, capacity, bills of materials, and change orders. Tracks metrics related to operational performance of suppliers. Identifies build requirements in comparison to supplier capacity (e.g., fixed-install capacity, realistic capacity) and consider supplier elements such as overtime or other considerations; stages for executive decision-making based on build requirements and supplier capacity availability. Ensures suppliers adhere to compliance expectations. Supports mid-term capacity and financial investments and alignment with stakeholders as needed.

Supply And Demand

  • Independently develops and influences forward or reverse supply plans of increasing scope, scale, and size of decisions. Collaborates with contractor manager and suppliers. Collaborates with team to determine raw materials buffers and flexibility to absorb fluctuations in demand. Collaborates and promotes alignment on plans; cross-functional relationships (e.g., Finance, other partners).
  • Conducts analysis and determines "what-if" scenarios impacting supply and demand management for forward and reverse planning. Supports and helps lead contingency plans and impact assessments. Drives allocation processes.

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
