Job Description
Support People to Live Life Their Way - Join us as a Support Worker!
We’re looking for caring and reliable people to join our friendly team, supporting seven adults with learning disabilities who live in their own home in Westoning. You'll get to know each of their own personalities, interests and routines, and work together to make the most of every day in a way that truly matters to them. No previous experience is needed - just the right values.
We’re offering both full-time and part-time roles (15 to 37.5 hours per week). Shifts are on a rota basis and include weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
A UK manual driving licence is essential – being able to drive unlocks so many opportunities for the people we support, whether that’s a trip to the shops, a day out further afield, or visiting friends.
What might your day look like?
Here’s what Jane and Eleanor* might tell you. They don't communicate verbally, but are great at showing us what they enjoy and how they like to be supported.
- We love a relaxed, fun atmosphere at home – listening to music and having a laugh helps us to turn everyday routines into something enjoyable.
- We go to MacIntyre’s learning centre in Ampthill regularly, where we catch up with friends and try new things.
- On nice days, we enjoy a picnic in the park or just getting some sunshine.
- At home, we unwind with our favourite TV shows or listen to 60s music – Elvis is a big favourite!
- We're hoping you have a few new ideas for things to try, too.
Jane and Eleanor are full of personality, and each day with them brings plenty of laughs and moments to connect - and they're only two of the amazing people you'll get to know. Your role is about learning what matters to people, what makes them feel happy, and being someone they can count on. If you're kind, open-minded, and up for learning new things, we would love to hear from you.

Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
