We have fantastic new opportunities to join us and support our deaf or hearing impaired service users in Blackburn.
We are looking for confident Care & Support Workers with the passion to both deliver outstanding care, alongside play a role in empowering d/Deaf or hearing impaired service users to access the same recovery opportunities as their hearing peers.
You will be working Full time
(42 hours per week) across a mixed shift pattern of 3/4 12 hour shifts per week with a focus on supporting our d/Deaf or hearing impaired (profound, severe, partial or hard of hearing) service users with mental health needs, inside our new Deaf community step down setting in Blackburn.
Note: This role requires a minimum of BSL Signature Level 2 as it is a Deaf service & interviews begin from May 16th.
About The Service
Vincent Court is a five-bed community rehabilitation (level 1) service for deaf men who have been able to progress through the hospital pathway at Cygnet Bury Dunes (Bridgehampton Ward). We also accept referrals from other high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) services, other Low Secure services as well as directly from the community.
We offer a safe, comfortable and homely setting that enables individuals to focus on their continued recovery and transition back into a successful and more independent lifestyle – with the advantage of continuing to access the same multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at Cygnet Bury Dunes (Bridgehampton Ward)

About You
- You may be d/Deaf yourself.
- Have experience working or living with Deaf people before.
- You can sign in BSL
- Qualified in Signature BSL to a minimum of Level 2.
- As a person you are a strong worker and team player.
- Are looking to help support d/Deaf people.
- Have an interest in helping d/Deaf people with mental health problems.
