Rated as a CQC Outstanding hospital, The Horder Centre is looking for an experienced and fully qualified Surgical First Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis to work within the Theatre department.

You will work efficiently and effectively to assist and support surgeons and the wider Theatre team in performing orthopaedic surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment whilst also providing compassionate care for all of our patients.

Alongside this role, we are able to offer fully-funded training to further your career into a Surgical Care Practitioner position.

About you:

  • Registered with the [Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), with relevant experience in surgical care.
  • Full UK, current qualification as a Surgical First Assistant
  • UK based experience in a similar orthopaedic setting.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Salary: up to £49,275.00 per annum
