UTEC NCS Survey works within the Acteon Geoservices division, specialising in, land surveying, laser scanning, underground utilities location, 3D asset management solutions, dimensional control and photogrammetry services.
UTEC are currently looking to hire a Surveyor based Livingston in Central Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing resources and logistics required for Geomatics Projects and for distribution of final survey deliverables within their region. Their main focus will be on providing a wide variety of Geomatics surveys including Topographic, Utility and Dimensional control surveys across the UK, Overseas and Offshore (optional) as required by UTEC.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee project execution and be responsible for field surveys, office processing, deliverables etc
Operating Total Stations, GNSS equipment, Laser Scanners, Ground Penetrating Radar & Radio Detection Equipment etc
Process the required survey information to a high standard using LSS, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, Leica Cyclone, Register 360 software
To conduct all company business in a professional manner, liaising with clients and reporting to the Geomatics Project Manager
To be responsible for Geospatial Assistants and work collaboratively with Senior Surveyors
To ensure that all surveying kit and vehicles are maintained and well kept
To comply with all QHSE standards set by the company
Conduct site visits, client meetings as required
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience in Geospatial sector required (minimum 2 years)
Experienced using survey instrumentation and processing software
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
Able to work away from home (where required) & overseas (where required)
Holding a valid drivers license is essential for this role
Must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the company routinely operates.
