THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Systems Design Engineer specialising in weapon systems to join our team. You will play a key role in developing and integrating advanced weapon systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Weapon System Design: Develop and integrate weapon systems, working with engineering teams to ensure safety and performance.
- Requirements Management: Define and manage system specifications from concept to delivery, ensuring traceability.
- Systems Integration: Oversee weapon system integration into larger platforms, mitigating risks.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure designs meet all requirements.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs adhere to military standards and safety regulations.
- Technical Documentation: Produce documentation, system diagrams, and reports.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver projects.
Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Systems, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience in weapon systems design and development.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, integration, and validation.
- Proficiency in modelling tools like MATLAB or Simulink.
- Familiarity with military standards and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree, experience with platform integration, control systems, and working with defence organisations.
