Role description:
You will be a member of a small team looking to grow with future business with the client and will be delivering strategic and technical support to some of the most inspiring/exciting projects and programmes across the UK Defence and Security market.
Role accountabilities:
- Build relationships with clients to identify and realise business opportunities and to ensure that client expectations and Arcadis’ commercial objectives are met or exceeded
- Participate in customer engagement and outreach activities working with stakeholders across contract vehicles, agency organizations, the military, foreign partners, and OEMs
- Create, refine and implement comprehensive customer engagement strategies
- Manage the development and recording of system requirements of complex systems and solutions for defence and security applications.
- Work closely with the customers, product users, and product owners to understand the mission drivers/needs and communicate them to development teams
- Systems safety engineering, including the analysis of the systems safety requirements.
- Provide understanding of all aspects of System and System of Systems integration.
- Give clear understanding of through life environmental impact evaluation of complex systems.
- Requirements capture, analysis and management of system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of products and systems that are compatible with the system architecture(s)
- Provide input into specific technical aspects of individual bids to support the production of high-quality winning pursuits
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience working in a Senior or Associate Director level Systems Engineering role
- Ability to meet with customers and identify their needs, derive requirements, and align those with the appropriate products or applications
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and network engineers to support the engineering design processes for hardware, software, and mixed technology systems.
- Experience providing technical leadership at a subject level
- Enjoy working with wider Project Teams (including multiple disciplines)
- A commercial understanding as well as
- Knowledge of MoD processes and procedures.
- Experience working across a range of different activities at various stages of the systems engineering life cycle.
