The role
As a T31 Production Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide Production/Project Engineering support to the Civil Nuclear programme Production teams through identification of work scope requirements / gaps, system validations, handovers, and system test requirements. Support and co-ordinate all requirements to achieve construction, assembly, testing and training in accordance with programme/project requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll
- Support the delivery of civil nuclear programmes and milestones.
- Liaison with key project stakeholders such as Production, Procurement, Engineering (Rosyth, BCNS & Client) and Planning teams.
- Work effectively within a team environment to ensure project milestones are delivered to time cost and quality requirements.
- Ensure relevant H&S legislation and Babcock safety policies are adhered to at all times.
- Work ahead of Production to identify free to run work fronts and identify early the blockers for resolution ahead of production schedule requirements.
- Highlight cause and effect of schedule non-compliance and assist in providing solutions to minimise the effect of schedule movement
- Use of IFS for control & status reporting, working with all stake holders to ensure compliance and assist in solutions where gaps are identified.
This role is FTC 52 weeks, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience Of The T31 Production Engineer
- Experience in Production, Engineering and planning would be advantageous
- Track record of operating in a dynamic production / project environment
- Ability to plan complex multi-disciplinary projects is essential
- Structural / Fabrication/ Electrical manufacturing background desirable but not essential
- IFS experience required
- Ability to plan complex multi-disciplinary projects is essential
- Efficient in Microsoft packages, word, excel, MSP and power point. Familiarity with Primavera.
Qualifications For The T31 Production Engineer
- APM qualification desirable but no essential
- Formal Engineering Qualifications
