The role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Design and Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- A specialist in Resistance Materials (preferred)
- Has vision, energy and enthusiasm for teaching and learning
- Is proactive, innovative and focused on student outcomes
- Is an inspirational, ambitious Design and Technology teacher with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has an appreciation for and committed to broadening the experiences of young people?
The Design & Technology Department
Our design and technology department are a friendly, supportive and high performing team of teachers. You will be joining a dedicated team of expert teachers, passionate about delivering outstanding lessons.
The department is extremely well resourced with subject specific equipment, covering Design and Technology, Food Technology, Art and Textiles. The department is further supported by highly skilled and experienced technology technicians within food technology, design and workshop practicals.

Outwood Academy Freeston became part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust on 1st May 2018. The Academy is in the heart of Normanton, which is a small town and part of the City of Wakefield.
It is a mixed school for both girls and boys ages 11-16. We are an increasingly popular choice of secondary school for families in the local area.
