About The Role
Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11-18 comprehensive school where all students flourish academically (Ofsted 2024). The learning environment is cordial (Ofsted 2024), and students and staff enjoy a high level of mutual respect.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Religious Studies specialist who is firmly committed to the principle of high achievement for all to join our Philosophy, Religion and Ethics Faculty. The post is suitable for either an ECT or a more experienced colleague and is available due to the retirement of the current postholder.
The P.R.E. Faculty is academically successful, exceptionally well lead and always willing to try out new initiatives. Religious Studies is an option at both G.C.S.E. and A level. The faculty also offers sociology at KS4 and KS5. A Level sociology results have consistently been in the top 20% of all schools nationally. The ability to also teach sociology is desirable rather then essential.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of 3 specialist who are determined to move beyond outstanding and firmly believe that the best is yet to come.
