VINCI is seeking an experienced Technical Facilities Manager with a strong HVAC or mechanical background to oversee maintenance and technical operations at Whiston Hospital.
This critical role ensures the hospital’s facilities remain fully operational, compliant, and efficient to support high-quality patient care.
Role Overview
As the Technical Facilities Manager, you will:
- Oversee the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, with a focus on HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Manage M&E services, including HVAC, medical gases, ventilation, and critical systems.
- Ensure compliance with HTMs, SFG20, and statutory healthcare regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in facility operations, particularly in energy efficiency and sustainability within HVAC systems.
- Ensure all works adhere to strict health and safety guidelines and compliance regulations.
- Liaise with hospital management and key stakeholders to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
- Work towards achieving Authorised Person (AP) status to enhance compliance and technical expertise on the contract.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in facilities management within a healthcare or critical environment, specifically in HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or building services.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance (HTMs, SFG20, and statutory regulations).
- Experience leading teams and managing contractors in a live hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Facilities Management).
