Salary: Up to £67,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 - 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

We are looking for team players and leaders to join the existing RF Programmes team. You will benefit from opportunities in system and technology development and engineering management in the context of cutting-edge and world-leading technology. We are working on challenging engineering solutions with ambitious aims over the coming few years to further consolidate the UKs leading position in this domain.
You will form an integral bridge between technology specialists, system/sub-system designers, and programmes management and business development areas of the Sparkworks sector, the RF DE (Directed Energy) and LO (Low Observability) domain's core role is to bring these exciting RF/LO ideas to life!
A role exists within the Sparkworks Radio Frequency (RF) Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) domain for a task lead in electrical architectures and electromagnetic resilience to support the development of concept definition, technology demonstration and system performance understanding in the domain. This is a growing and strategically important area for MBDA. In this exciting role, you will be:
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver technical programmes of work in the area of RF DE including technology development, assessment of electrical and electronic architectures of equipment
- Conducting analysis and decomposition to lower-level requirements for sub-elements ensuring compliance with customer requirements
- Leadership, both technical and managerial, of engineering team and accountable for assigned budgets
- Identification of technical risk areas, definition and supervision of supporting studies including electromagnetic modelling, mechanical design, and component assessment
- Defining and delivering test and evaluation strategies for novel concepts and technologies
- Development, and agreement of requirements with engagement with sub-system design authorities to support implementation of architectures and design schemes
- Engaging with wider range of customer stakeholders to develop requirements for future systems, capabilities and programmes
What we're looking for from you:
- Educated to degree level with significant industrial experience
- Experience of electro-mechanical & mechanical design
- The ability to forge the essential relationships and influence partners
- The ability to work in an ambiguous space to form a coherent, collated viewpoint
- Knowledge and experience of Weapon or Missile Systems and awareness of Novel Weapons technologies / sub-systems
- Proven track record to foster and lead collaborative teams
- Desire and determination for on time, on cost and on quality delivery
- Willingness to undergo DV clearance
