About The Role
As Technical Operator, you will work to achieve the required quality standards and contribute towards achieving budgeted site performance through the effective control, operation and maintenance of the relevant equipment.
Key internal stakeholders for this position will include Engineering Support Team Leaders, Team Leaders, and Shift Leaders, who you will regularly communicate with about the progress of work affecting plant performance and other information affecting the activities on site.
Roles Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor and maintain production equipment to meet efficiency targets
- Carry out first line and preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication schedules
- Perform plant and product changeovers in line with production schedules
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety, food, and hygiene standards
- Accurately reconcile materials used and minimize wastage
- Operate a forklift truck as required
- Contribute to cross-functional improvement initiatives
- Train and mentor colleagues to standard operating procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and order in operational zones
- Utilize systems like SAP for inventory and product traceability
- Identify and propose improvements to maintenance routines and asset care
Experience And Key Attributes
- Previous experience in a fast-paced production environment is essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Proven flexibility to work across various production areas
- Demonstrates ownership and accountability for outcomes
- Motivated by quality and efficiency with a strong team focus
- Positively contributes to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
- Basic standard of education, capable of achieving NVQ Level II or equivalent
