Key Responsibilities
- To assist the remortgage client teams with all legal aspects of property files to ensure targets are met, quality standards maintained, financial performance is maximised and risks, complaints and write offs are minimised
- Manage more complex Property cases including but not limited to unregistered, shared ownership staircasing, Islamic Finance conversion and checking Lease Extension documentation for registration. Where applicable, to include post completion or where an element of error or risk has been identified
- Deal with day to day queries and provide technical and legal guidance and coaching to team members and be a point of referral for the client teams
- Deal with non-standard requisitions
- Draft/approve undertakings
- Deal with shared equity cases, full UK Finance Hand Book title checks, lease checking and identify title defects
- Where required, draft documents including statement of truth, undertakings and transfers
- Referral point for all complex queries for external clients
- Use knowledge of Money Laundering principles and apply these to specific cases
- Identify training requirements and assist in the training and development of the team members in conjunction with the Training Department including the preparation of training materials
- Handle complaints and ensure adherence to company complaints policy
- Deal with Data Subject Access requests in line with current GDPR principles
- Provide recommendations for continual improvement for the department’s clients, work processes and people
- Support with Coaching and designing training materials
- Deal with any ad hoc tasks as required
Skills And Experience
- Legal qualification in Conveyancing
- Experience of full end to end sale and purchase transactions.
- Confident outgoing personality and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients
- Ability to prioritise work and use initiative
- Demonstrate excellent Property legal skills
- Ability to coach individuals to develop their knowledge and skills
- Flexibility and adaptability and a willingness to embrace technology and change
- Knowledge and experience of case management systems
- Sale and purchase, repo sales or new build knowledge and experience (Desirable)
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing complex Conveyancing files (Desirable)
