We are currently looking for a
Technical Support Engineer
to join our team working for a better future. You will be a member of our Agreement Management Europe team for Energy Business customers.
The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Ireland, with regular travelling within the UK.
What Will You Be Doing
As a Technical support engineer, you are accountable to support the customers under LTSA to reach them the highest engine availability and reliability. We expect that with your background you will provide expert advice and guidance on technical and operational issues.
Your site attendances will enable timely and proactive resolution of operational issues with a focus on customer satisfaction. You will report to the Agreement manager and work in daily cooperation with Technical Service L1 and L2.
As Technical Support Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Technical follow-up of the installation under LTSA
- Support customers for troubleshooting
- Providing expert advice and guidance on technical and operational issues
- Monitor TechRequests for the agreement installations
- Work in close cooperation with Remote support team and Technical Service
- Support agreement managers for technical topics
- Planning FS resources for unplanned jobs
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Good knowledge of agreement way of working
- Good understanding of TR tools and portals, Wedge applications, Cyber security, Fuel, lube oil and water management, Maintenance management, Operation management, Control room knowledge, Electrical systems, Engine Control Systems, Engine knowledge, Performance and Trend analysis, Scheduled maintenance, technical drawings, and flow charts
- To possess a strong technical and in-depth knowledge of Wartsila engine and auxiliary systems with over 5 years of experience in operations or technical support roles.
- Cost awareness & effectiveness
- Customer understanding and technical communication
In this role, travel is required to reach our customers around Italy and eventually within Europe. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 50%.
