A Brief Overview

The primary responsibility of the Technology Manager, EMEA is to provide support within the region to ensure high quality operational partnership between Global Technology and all business functions.

This entails understanding the needs and goals of stakeholders and aligning them with the products, services, and resources of the organisation to ensure mutual success.

This is a varied and technical role which requires high levels of stakeholder engagement within the context of technology delivery and change management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Business Engagement team to deliver successful outcomes, manage expectations, advocate for business needs, and keep stakeholders informed about technology development. MANAGE RELATIONSHIPS
• Support the business and contribute to the technology strategy to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Collaborate with the business in developing business cases, road mapping, resource, and budget planning with a strong focus on financial responsibility. Seek opportunities to optimise IT spend. BUSINESS & TECH STRATEGY ALIGNMENT
• Identify and mitigate risk in all functional and non-functional areas of the business. Ensure timely management of risk and adapt strategy and delivery accordingly. RISK MANAGEMENT
• Gather high-level business needs and support scope definition in initial discovery by conducting meetings/interviews and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with Business Engagement functions and partners. INFORMATION GATHERING
• Facilitate solution discussions and collaboration between business stakeholders, Regional IT, Enterprise Architecture, and other functions as needed. Provide regular updates on the status and health of delivery to respective business stakeholders and facilitate cross Business Engagement/Business Unit IT sharing. FACILITATE COMMUNICATIONS
• Coordinate among multiple Technical Partners and Regions to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment, ensuring that business projects and their value are promoted to IT leaders and the broader IT community. COORDINATION
• Act as a change agent to ensure IT governance and compliance with global and local regulatory requirements. Proactively seek opportunities for innovation in technology or ways of working to deliver value and efficiency. GOVERNANCE AND INNOVATION
  
  

Required

Education and Experience

• Approximately 3-8 years of IT and business/industry work experience with demonstrable experience in developing and executing technology delivery.
• Proven experience in implementing and delivering technical solutions for both external customers and internal business users.
• High levels of business and technical engagement with a track record of sustained delivery over a long-term period.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with programme delivery methodologies such as Agile, including the use of tooling such as Azure Dev Ops and Aha!.
• Expertise in Technology Change Management.
• Knowledge or experience in Reinsurance or equivalent industry.
