The Role & What You Will Be Doing
As a Tender and Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all UK Hospital Generic and branded contracts and tenders from initiation to submission. This includes coordinating and managing tender submissions, conducting thorough award analysis, ensuring accurate contract initiation with wholesale distributors, and diligently monitoring stock levels. You will also contribute to the development of pricing strategies for hospital contracts and provide essential support to the Portfolio Business Manager.

Tender & Contracts Co-ordinator role will make an impact:
- End-to-End Tender & Contract Management: Take full ownership of the UK hospital tendering and contracts process for the Viatris UK business, driving it from initial stages through to successful completion.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of hospital tender results, translating data into actionable intelligence on competitor activity and market pricing strategies.
- Contract Compliance & Issue Resolution: Proactively monitor contract performance against agreed volumes, swiftly identifying and resolving any internal or external challenges, and collaborating effectively with tendering authorities to maintain forecast accuracy.
- Lifecycle Management (LCM): Expertly manage the LCM of all hospital contract-related submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Forecasting & Strategic Input: Collate, review, and critically assess forecasts for hospital contracted lines, providing informed recommendations for changes and strategic actions to optimise outcomes.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and deliver concise, insightful reports on activities, progress, and key issues for monthly team meetings and Board Packs, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Financial Accuracy & Validation: Validate monthly hospital reclaims files from wholesale and homecare with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timely payment processing.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with core wholesale distributors, with a focus on ensuring continuity of supply and service.
- Tasks, Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to and lead other key accountabilities and strategic projects as defined by the Portfolio Business Manager, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- ABPI Medical Representative (Preferred)
- Experience of the pharmaceutical industry, generics preferred e.g knowledge of NHS, market place, funding of drugs.
- Ability to plan strategically and logically.
- Ability and experience in planning, preparation, and presentation.
- High-level numeric skills and demonstrates initiative.
- Articulate, able to communicate at all levels of an organisation.
- Creative Thinking - Able to demonstrate the ability to come up with new and innovative ways of looking at problems
- Strong interpersonal skills required as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
