Join Close Brothers Third Party Management Risk Team where you will work in collaboration with relevant SMEs defining robust risk management processes that are compliant with relevant and evolving third party regulations (PRA, FCA, EBA, CBI) and complementary to wider Procurement and Business Processes.
You will also retain a full understanding of the regulatory obligations of Close Brothers from the perspective of third party risk management, and horizon scanning to remain ahead of evolving legislation.
Responsibilities
Risk & Regulations:
- Designing risk elements of the TPM framework (policy, standards and procedures) including continuous improvement and ensuring sufficient training and guidance materials for the full TPM team and business stakeholders
- Ensuring that the third party risk processes are robust but operationally efficient, complementary to wider Procurement Processes and Business processes.
- Horizon scanning to remain ahead of evolving legislation, attending industry forums to gain insights and support programmes to delivery change as a result of new third party regulatory requirements.
Third Party Monitoring
- Responsibility for the third party Monitoring methodology schedule to ensure suppliers are reviewed in line with the framework and Close Brothers requirements.
- Allocate supplier reviews across third party risk team and offshore team ensuring that the monitoring schedule is delivered against agreed timeframes and meaningful MI reported and escalated as appropriate
ESG
- Chairing of cross Procurement and Third Party Risk team working group to develop and manage the TPM sustainability agenda to ensure compliance with our stated ESG targets.
- Identify opportunities to deliver positive change from an ESG perspective, including Scope 3, environmental, D&I, modern slavery, etc
People
- Build and lead a high performing team
- Recruit, train and employ high calibre and culturally aligned employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
Functional Development
- Support the Head of Procurement and Third Party Risk and their direct reports with the continued evolution of the holistic third party management strategy and supporting processes to ensure value continues to be delivered, risk mitigated and processes remain compliant with relevant regulations.
Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
- Experience of developing and embedding third party management frameworks
- Experience of building and leading high performing teams
- Experience of managing complex stakeholder environments, influencing stakeholder decisions and obtaining buy-in for change
- Strong understanding of regulation relevant to Third Party Management in particular PRA/FCA/EBA & CBI on Material arrangements and outsourcing
- Proven track record of maintaining robust, operationally efficient third party risk processes and monitoring compliance both at a functional level and a framework level
- Proven track record of project delivery or continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven track record of optimising processes, driving efficiencies and unlocking value
- Strong understanding of risk management including control testing, reporting and issue management
- Good understanding of using systems and data to optimise processes and deliver tangible and actionable MI.
- Strong track record of liaising with and influencing senior stakeholders
- Supply chain assurance experience
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the Financial Services industry
- Understanding of technology solutions and admin management
