Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Third Party Risk Manager to join our UK COO Risk team on a permanent basis. As the Third Party Risk Manager you’ll be responsible for overseeing operational risks, ensuring compliance with Internal Control and Internal Financial Controls standards, and addressing internal audit issues and escalations.

You’ll engage regularly with senior managers across UK Entities, the UK Group, Paris, and auditors to guarantee full compliance with all relevant regulations and policies while actively working to mitigate operational risks. You’ll also be accountable for identifying opportunities for improvement in Operations policies, managing the comprehensive set of departmental controls and their testing, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the annual review of the UK&I Group Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Policy by collating feedback from all Business Units and key business functions.
  • Collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts to produce regular reporting and monitoring of outsourcing and third-party risks across the UK&I. Tracking any identified gaps through to resolution and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Coordinating Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Forums and workshops, including creating agendas, documenting minutes.
  • Assisting in the design and validation of UK Third Party Risk controls by identifying control gaps and proposing necessary changes or improvements.
  • Conduct regular due diligence and assurance activities related to third-party engagements.
  • Providing support on strategic outsourcing-related projects, working with all business units on topics such as material vendor exit planning and testing.
  • Facilitating and/or attending workshops to enhance the risk culture across the business and promote the sharing of best practices.
  • Leading the analysis of new outsourcing and third-party regulations, providing support for audits and audit requests associated with outsourcing and third-party management.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous Operational Risk management experience is essential.
  • Third Party Risk Management experience would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience in engaging and influencing stakeholders at various levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to process, collate and present large volumes of data.
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and creative approach to problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Understanding of FCA/PRA regulations.
