Job title: Through Life Support New Business – Lead Engineer

Salary: £54,793+ depending on skills and experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the New Business technical bid teams in the management and delivery of the new business contracts across the full scope of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) throughout the lifecycle
- Working closely with the specific project teams, undertake appropriate engineering planning, management and review of activities to ensure that the capability is integrated, safe, fit for purpose and supports the project team’s delivery schedule
- Provide engineering/technical management support through close collaboration with the Service Delivery Teams (SDT) and suppliers to ensure a solution is developed that meets customer requirements against a clear product breakdown structure
- Development of the programme engineering management artefacts such as; Engineering Management Plan, Engineering Context Plan and Organisational Models and implementation of a requirements, configuration, maturity and acceptance management framework
- Support the development and submission of customer proposals, coordinating and integrating the technical inputs from the product and service delivery teams
- Support the establishment of Governance and Safety Management System activities for new business activities as appropriate
Your Skills And Experiences
- Qualification in a STEM related subject or equivalent experience in engineering new business activities/bid campaigns and complex engineering support services
- Knowledge and experience relating to support products and services, including in a customer operating environment (Air), across the range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Understanding of systems engineering, requirements, configuration and acceptance management
- Comfortable in front of senior stakeholders and have strong influencing skills across a broad range of stakeholders at all levels within and external to the business

The New Business International Markets Team
This is an exciting opportunity for you to expand your knowledge of our existing products and services and our existing and new customers and markets in supporting the growth agenda.
The role will require extensive knowledge and experience of products and services and the existing technologies which provide new capabilities to existing and new customers.
You will be required to collaborate with the broader team as well as the international safety, requirements and governance subject matter experts to share best practice and contribute to a environment of continuous improvement across the campaigns.
