TPA / DCA Trainee Auditor

Pro Insurance currently has a new opportunity for a TPA / DCA Trainee Auditor to work in our Audit and Advisory team. This role will suit someone with clams handling experience who is looking to move to into auditing.

Pro operates a flexible hybrid working policy and this role would be based working at home and one of our UK offices.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for conducting TPA / DCA audits including assisting in the preparing the pre-audit questionnaire and reports as well as undertaking the file selections and file testing. You will review completed pre-audit questionnaires and assess quality of data.

Insurance knowledge is central for reviewing the binder contract terms and bordereaux to identify the files to review and to undertake the file reviews. The file reviews are central to evidencing controls within the audit process.

Skills and Responsibilities

Working independently or assisting Auditors in Audit specific work, including but not limited to:

• Approve / Issue Pre Audit Questionnaire / Information Requests (‘PAQ’).
• Maintenance of diaries to monitor responses; issues; reminders.
• Assist in the Review of PAQ responses and associated documentation, where appropriate, draft follow up questions / enquiries (refer to senior auditor as necessary).
• Prepare the file selections for testing as well as undertake the file testings in the audit.
• Prepare initial summary assessment of audit findings and the report for the client.
• Conducting the wrap-up meeting with the TPA / DCA to discuss audit report and findings.
• Refer to Peer Reviewer or Senior Auditor before releasing to client.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with both internal and external stakeholders and to successfully manage these relationships.
• The ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise.
• Team worker as well as able to work on own initiative.
• Meticulous, precise, thorough, good at record keeping.
• Analytical, able to review reports, identify issues and assess their importance.
• Report writing.

Written and verbal competencies

It is essential to have a good written and verbal communication, accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills to develop a career in audit. We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• Strong time and / or project management skills to deliver audits to SLAs.
• Excellent and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
• Results orientated - meeting goals, producing results.
• Strong influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes; experienced in resistance or conflict management.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
