About the role:
We are currently rolling out our next generation of intelligent sensor, and seeking a Trainee Build Technician to join our Manufacturing function. This is a full-time, permanent role where we offer dedicated training and support to enable progression through set performance levels. Our performance scoring system, and our skills and competency matrix, help to identify improvement areas for the Trainee so that we can help them achieve their goals.
What you'll be doing:
- Mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies
- Assembly of mechanical and electrical hardware into IP enclosures
- Using software to flash and test assembled components.
- Following build processes and reference tools to ensure all assemblies conform to correct specification
- Attend meetings and contribute ideas to ensure continual improvement within team
- Collaborate with other teams within the function and wider company where appropriate
What we’re looking for:
- Professional experience not necessary, but must be passionate about manufacturing, with eagerness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team, maintaining a positive attitude towards work and showing respect for colleagues and visitors
- Manual dexterity with an eye for detail
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications
- IT literacy
- Self-motivated and proactive
