RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork to help us meet our clients’ needs.

About You
As a
Trainee Water Technician, you will work alongside Experienced Technicians to develop your knowledge and understanding of the water industry and leakage detection.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will work outdoors to locate water main fittings and take noise samples using advanced electronic leak detection equipment, for which full training will be provided. Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include learning and developing your skill set within the water industry, deploying and retrieving data loggers, optimizing and operating the water network, and interpreting plans and schematics to identify asset locations. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your expertise while contributing to the efficient operation of the water network.
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
- Mechanical and or plumbing experience is preferable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop your career and professional knowledge
Qualifications
- GCSE requirement in Maths and English 9-4 (A*- C)
- UK Driving Licence
