Job Title: Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Lead, SSNA Programme - Submarines

Working Pattern: Full Time

Working location: Raynesway/Hybrid

Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Lead - SSNA, a full-time role based at Raynesway in Derby in Future Programmes for a specialist with experience of Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822; Defence Training and Education. Working within SSNA Programme (ie Astute-class replacement) as part of the Nuclear Safety Team and across partners within the Submarines Enterprise requiring some travel and regular liaison with parties based in Barrow-in-Furness, Devonport/Faslane and Abbey Wood/Bristol. Support TNA scoping activities in 2025 and acting as Roll-Royce’s Informed Customer specifying, overseeing and accepting TNA work by strategic partners into the business and facilitating training development over the coming years.

Role is at the forefront of re-establishing in-house capability in TNA and setting the programme up for success over the coming decade across the entire Submarines Enterprise. What You Will Be Doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Learn about Nuclear Steam Raising Plant (NSRP) design, operation and shipbuilder integration
  • Learn about whole boat operation and through-life maintenance
  • Leading and working with strategic partners to deliverable TNA for across the Submarines Enterprise

  • Experience of Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822; Defence Training and Education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated at both a working level and liaising with senior stakeholders and customers
  • Experience of taking onboard lessons learnt as well managing ambiguity and risk to help all parties reach a consensus of opinion to safely deliver to time, cost and quality
  • Willingness to travel to engage with all parties face-to-face
