Perch Group are searching for a Transactional Finance Associate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, analysing and reconciling financial transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.


đź’µ ÂŁ28,000 + up to 20% of your annual salary, paid as a bonus.

📍This role is based at our Blackpool office. We offer hybrid working options.


About Our Team


Perch Group houses data-driven services spanning the entire debt lifecycle, including BPO services, debt collection, debt purchase, reconnection, and litigation services.


Your closer team will include Finance Managers and Management Accountants, with you being led by the Group Financial Accountant. You will most often work with the Finance department and support the group functions of the organisation.


You'll make a major contribution by…


  • Processing and reviewing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer cash transactions and expense reports.
  • Reconciling bank statements, general ledger accounts and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Supporting the month-end process and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
  • Analysing transactional data to identify discrepancies, trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, inquiries and process irregularities.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.


You should apply for this role if you have…


  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar coding programmes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives is ideal but not essential.


The Application Timeline


  • A first stage video call with the internal recruitment team (15-minute call).
  • A second stage video call with the Hiring Manager (15-minute call).
  • A face to face or video call with the hiring manager (45 minutes - 60 minutes).

⏰ 37.5 hours per week. We offer flexible working hours between our core hours of 8am- 6pm, Monday to Friday.
