Our Transformation Investment Team are the custodians of the AA’s investment portfolios. We focus on strategic change to drive profitable growth. We work with the business to shape and appraise investment opportunities, govern projects, support delivery, and ensure promised returns are delivered.

As a Transformation Team Analyst, you will support resource management and end-to-end programme management, covering governance, portfolio appraisal, cost management, benefit realisation, and post-implementation reviews. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving financial controls and performance, ensuring all financial procedures and controls are applied as required.

What will I be doing?

  • Provide support across Resource Planning, Capex/Cost Management, Investment Management, and the Transformation Management Office.
  • Track and report monthly capex spend and investment benefits.
  • Monitor the Chief Operating Office (COO) resource supply and align with resource demand.
  • Analyse performance to identify early deviations from schedule and cost/benefit plans.
  • Participate in financial and business performance reviews, ensuring information accuracy and understanding financial impacts.
  • Collaborate with Initiative/Project Managers and Finance Teams to develop robust business cases with KPIs and financial benefits, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives for forecasting accuracy and process optimisation.

What do I need?

  • Strong understanding of financial and business controls, with experience in developing and implementing cost controls.
  • Proficient in Excel for handling data from multiple sources, financial modelling, and analysis; Power BI skills are advantageous.
  • Skilled in business planning, strategy, and business case development, with experience in a large corporate organisation.
  • Highly organised, logical, and numerate, with a keen attention to detail and a desire to learn and drive change through data.
  • Reliable and able to work to deadlines, with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of building working relationships across the business, and enthusiastic, self-starting team player who is also comfortable working independently.
