About The Department

Our Transitions, Demand, and Design team is at the heart of our operations, driving innovation and excellence. We are looking for a passionate individual to join us and help deliver:

  • Transition Coordination: Lead and manage transition events, ensuring seamless operational readiness for new product launches and client onboarding.
  • Operational Execution: Oversee the execution of client lifecycle events, ensuring excellent service and efficiency.
  • Demand Assessment: Analyse and assess product and client demand, providing valuable insights to shape our strategies.
  • Business Model Design: Design and document cutting-edge business operating models that drive our success.

About The Role

As the Transitions Analyst you will get the opportunity to work with various stakeholders across abrdn to capture, assess and track all new transition event.

You will also get the opportunity to facilitate the delivery of fund launch activity, originating from Product and Client demand channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the associated workflow of fund launches, closures, mandate changes and asset transfers.
  • Gather requirements and complete event plans to ensure stakeholder expectations are effectively managed.
  • Provide documented assurance that transitions are executed successfully pre and post implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across abrdn to ensure optimum ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities for service enhancement through cross team collaboration.
  • Utilise technology to drive efficiencies and advance working practices.
  • Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.

About The Candidate Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry and of delivering transition events.
  • Work to agreed deadlines and be agile in your approach.
  • Quickly take ownership of time critical issues through to resolution.
  • Experience of creating and nurturing long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of asset classes such as such fixed income, equities, exchange traded derivatives, over the counter derivatives and cash.
