We are seeking an experienced Transport Planning Assistant to join our team at Canvey Island. The role involves maintaining administrative processes and systems related to the transport department while supporting the transport planning function.

The Opportunity
To provide maintenance of all administrative processes and systems associated with the transport department and to support the transport planning function.
Administration and Maintenance
- Answer telephone calls from all parties, dealing with all calls in a professional manner and in line with company/department policies
- Deal with incoming queries regarding deliveries and collections
- Manage various queues on Vision and ensure they are up to date
- Assist with specialist recovery and urgent collections
- Work with subcontractors – allocate work when advised by team leader, obtain images, paperwork, and update all systems so they read correct
- Deal with driver queries, communicate and add extra collections to driver’s workload
- Assist in other areas of transport /planning process as required
- General office duties such as dealing with enquiries typing, scanning, database updates, filing, etc
- Complete all tasks deemed to be a reasonable request by any Transport management in a timely, efficient and safe manner
- Assist in dealing with queries and issues from customers, suppliers & members of the public
- Maintaining Transport Inbox
- Any other duties as may be required which are commensurate with the grade of the post
