Description
Working from our Coventry head office, this is a key role providing support with data and analytical checks to facilitate the management of our transportation partners around the world to ensure ongoing service to our internal and external customers. The role is also required to support freight shipments and support the growth of our Omni Channel proposition.
Key Responsibilities
Key accountabilities:
- Manage and check all transport costs against provided rate cards working closely with the finance team to close any gaps.
- Manage all performance and volume data for all transport partners
- Manage data to facilitate supplier reviews
- Act as 1st point of contact for any transportation queries from stores and Internal stakeholders
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Maintain a record of all Supplier agreements and rate cards.
- Ensure all Suppliers are posting invoices in a legible manner that allows for posting to correct business area.
- Act as 1st level approver for all invoices checking back to agreements
- Challenging Suppliers appropriately where there are anomalies making sure to inform Supply Chain senior management and Finance on any delays and/or credit requests
- Track and Analyse cost variances for our key suppliers
- Create/Maintain key metrics tracker(s) and reports to support cost & service analysis
- Own the store to store movements process
- Own the MW Inbox for all transport related queries
- Create and maintain purchasing log for ad hoc spends to enable accurate accruals and invoice coding by finance
- Supporting co-workers within the team and working together to achieve business targets
We Would Like To Meet Someone Who Is
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to travel within the UK and across Europe
- Previous Supply chain, ECOM, and Customer Service experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- An ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
