Location – Flexible between Edinburgh & Glasgow

Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh/ Glasgow office 2 days per week for this position.

A bank with a little more heart: We’re looking for a Treasury Operations Analyst to join our Treasury Operations team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc on a 12 month FTC.

Partnering with Treasury Operations and Securitisation teams, you will be performing activities such as transaction monitoring, cash management and securitisation reporting, in support of different areas within the business including finance and operation teams. Covering all aspects of liquidity settlement, reconciliation and regulatory reporting for Treasury function. This is a role where no two days are the same, you will pick up new skills and have the opportunity to, influence Senior stakeholders across the bank. You’ll have the chance to develop project management skills and be a key member of a small team doing big things within Tesco Bank.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Ensuring Treasury Operations activities are carried out efficiently by following established processes.
  • Working independently to collate and analyse data using pre-set tools, methods and formats.
  • Managing the support of data analysis and on-going activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting key Treasury migration activities throughout the project lifecycle – including testing support, defect resolution and design analysis.
  • Performing the daily, monthly and quarterly cash management and investor reporting activities for Tesco Bank’s securitisation structure.

We need you to have:
  • Strong analytical and high numeracy skills, with a great attention to detail.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft packages; excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills.
  • Ability to look at complex issues from multiple angles; explores problems to uncover underlying issues and root causes; see the main consequences and implications of different options.
  • Be a logical thinker who enjoys working a process and delivering quality/accurate work
  • You will enjoy the fact that no two days are the same and that tasks can come from different angles and you will be comfortable pivoting to these tasks and delivering to deadlines
  • Confident in seeking out help as well as having the confidence to say no and push back

And if you have any of these, even better:
  • An understanding of major structured finance asset classes (ABS and RMBS)
  • Previous experience of working in a deadline driven Treasury team.
