Job Description

• To manage all activities to safeguard local tax compliance.
• Responsible for one Tax Specialist based in Romania.
• Managing UK and overseas VAT compliance (Romania, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Slovakia and Poland)
• Support Leoni Group in the BEPS Pillar 2 implementation for DTT/MTT in the UK
• Prepare the corporation tax pack and review the corporation tax computation
• P11D(b) and PSA reporting and supporting HR team in relation to employment tax matters
• Coordinate the RDEC report preparation through liaison with external advisors and Leoni R&D teams
• Prepare and submit the Tax reporting packages, tax balance sheet, calculation of current and deferred tax as well as all necessary disclosure information
• Support the implementation of global Tax Control Framework to ensure compliance
• Perform control activities in accordance with the Tax Control Framework; identifies the risks, analyse them and identify the mitigation measures
• Coordinate the SAO process and carry out internal audits where necessary
• Support financial year-end disclosures, e.g. analysis of the group tax rate, disclosure of information in the financial statements
• Support Leoni Group with the TP policy and ensure local TP requirements are adhered to (preparation of Local File and supporting documentation, Transfer pricing adjustments)
• Perform corporate income tax calculations (p&l, bs) for future years based on business projects
• Provide corporate taxes input for business forecasting
• Deliver input for local tax audits as well as tax input & research for legal proceedings
• Prepare & coordinate rolls out of training concepts to ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Provide tax advice for day-to-day tax-related topics
• Contribute to the maintenance of accounting and tax systems
• Support process implementation, automation and digitalisation
• Supports regular tax risk evaluations within the country
• Support local business projects (corporate tax aspects)
• Actively search and identify potential in the overall tax area; offer active consulting
  

Qualifications

• Ideally educated to degree level or working towards a tax or accounting qualification (e.g., ATT, ACCA)
• Previous experience of working within a similar role
• Knowledge of SAP would be desirable
• Intermediate MS Office user (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Good at problem solving
• Target & result orientated, with the ability to comply with deadlines
• Ability to coordinate activities across departments and monitors results in order to achieve the defined objectives
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
