The General Manager (GM) will oversee the operational, strategic and financial performance of the UK & Ireland locations. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in software sales and operations management. As GM you will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining operational excellence across the country.
The GM is a highly visible and influential role and is accountable for delivering the P&L and growth objectives.
The GM is providing business, market, product strategy and direction; sales strategy; revenue and has P&L ownership; overall planning, coordinating; recruiting; and management of all aspects of the UK & Ireland business together in conjunction with the relevant matrix managers.
The GM will play a lead role in driving the continued growth and success of the business in the UK & Ireland Region. This will be achieved by creating and executing the business strategy to deliver revenue growth through a combination of new name customers and cross-sell/up-sell initiatives within the existing customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement regional strategies in alignment with the company’s overall objectives
- Identify market opportunities and create plans to capture new business
- Drive regional sales and growth initiatives to achieve ambitious revenue targets
- Maintain a culture of accountability and compliance within the team
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations within the region, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement best practice to enhance operational performance
- Accurately manage regional budgets and allocate resource effectively
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional team inside the companies reporting matrix
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for all
- Ensure continuous professional development of team members
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Address and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
- Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
Product And Pricing Management
- Manage regional product offerings and pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability
- Authority to approve non-standard pricing to meet customer specific needs and market conditions
- Work closely with the product development and marketing teams to align regional offerings with market demands.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address any performance gap
Financial Performance
- Drive and monitor regional financial performance, expenses and profitability
- Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to senior management

Skills, Knowledge And Experience
The GM needs to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience of leading in senior management positions within the software industry
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and operational excellence
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Excellent decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Experience working within a matrix organisation and effectively managing cross functional relationships
- Advanced computer experience with the MS Office Suite such as Excel and PowerPoint
- European languages an advantage
