Job Description
If you’re in your penultimate year of study, looking to build a career in the payments industry, the Checkout.com internship is a great place to start. In roles across our
Commercial Operations, Product, and People teams, this 8 week programme will introduce you to our organisation and culture and enable you to build the skills, and develop the knowledge, you need to succeed.
You’ll start with an induction and onboarding bootcamp, meeting with leaders from across the organisation and learning about life at Checkout.com, then you’ll join your team and start working on real-life projects in collaboration with your team. Alongside your day to day work, you’ll be supported with a programme of skills workshops and onsite events, and opportunities to meet with our business leaders.
We’ll provide you with challenging projects and opportunities that will enable you to make an impact quickly. You’ll be supported by your line manager, mentors and programme management team to deliver in line with our values and Operating Principles which are the guidelines for how we work at Checkout.com. Our highest performing interns will be invited to return to Checkout.com after graduation so we want to give you the opportunity to thrive and show us what you are capable of.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Together with your manager, you will identify the key deliverables for your internship and build a plan to ensure you achieve them
- Support colleagues across the team to deliver on the team’s objectives and key results
- Be accountable for 1-2 key components of the team’s projects and own successful completion of those elements
- Collaborate across your intern cohort to share knowledge and spot opportunities
- At the end of your internship you will be invited to present a report of your experience and summarise your work and achievements
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- In your penultimate year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree, due to graduate in 2026.
- Interested in FinTechs and building an understanding of the payments industry.
- Passion for solving problems and obsession with delivering results.
- Detail-oriented and data driven approach to execution.
- Able to work collaboratively and earn trust of others.
- Available to work full-time for the duration of the 8 week programme across July and August 2025
Recruitment timelines:
First and second round interviews will take place virtually throughout January and February 2025. Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment centre at the end of February or early to mid March 2025.
