Job Description
Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Value Streams Operations Leader to join the organisation. The purpose of this role is to Support and drive the value stream team to deliver on the defined outputs required to meet the Value Stream goals and to maintain the governance and control of the value stream processes, including bringing clarity and definition in how they interface with all other functions / departments in Ultra PCS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the regular meeting cadence inputs and outputs and ensure all information is ready for review, on time and at the right standard.
- Continually evaluate the reviews and processes to identify best practice and adopt/implement improvements to PCS Value Stream processes as appropriate.
- Support the Value Steam Team in departmental activities if required such as project support, bid co-ordination, resource capacity loading and support in identifying solutions to internal and external blockers
- Act as an enabler to support projects and the engineering teams where required with the business tools and interrogation of the ERP system, to bring visibility and focus of data to drive decision making.
- You will be required to create a positive working culture and work practices and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Be able to lead through influence across all levels of the business
Required Skills & Experience:
- Exceptional Communication skills – the successful candidate needs to be able to communicate to a wide breadth of stakeholders with focus and exceptional clarity.
- Time management skills are important in prioritizing tasks to ensure that projects are completed by deadlines and streamlining processes to maximize productivity.
- Exposure to cost engineering, planning and contracts administration.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritize requests.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to understand data and the linkages between different data sets around the organisation.
- Decision-making skills are key to weighing the costs and benefits of various options and determining the best course of action to achieve company goals.
- Problem-solving skills are crucial to analysing past and current performance and recommending objectives to improve productivity and profitability.
- Demonstrate a tenacious, logical and determined working style with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team to deliver results in a timely manner required.
- Well-developed computer literacy specifically including: MS Office suite (specifically Powerpoint) and MS Project.
- Use own initiative within the scope of the role.
- Plans own work to ensure on time delivery.
- Seeks solutions to problems encountered.
- Good organizational skills.
