Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and support the management and development of existing and prospective global client relationships across the Power and Utilities clients located within Europe.
- Lead and support business generation efforts in a bid to optimise income, cross sell opportunities, client base and return on risk capital whilst working to financial and qualitative targets.
- Lead and support the development of Mizuho’s debt and M&A advisory capabilities with C-Suite dialogue and idea generation
- Development and demonstration of a deep understanding of the issues and drivers for each client within the Power and Utilities sector that supports Mizuho being credibly established as a trusted advisor and arranger of new transactions.
- Support the management of credit related client requests / proposals through the Mizuho credit approval process. Support the preparation of analysis and business rationale that supports requests within the Energy and Utilities sector and support the credit quality of loan assets.
- Subject matter expertise in the European Power & Utilities sector, including capital structure and regulatory developments/implications
- Lead and support the development of ECC as a whole and take responsibility for sharing experience and information and developing initiatives to enhance ECC’s performance.
- Demonstrate an increased level of client responsibility and dialogue compared to senior Associate level. Establish own client relationships/contacts
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- University Degree or equivalent with professional qualifications
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, financial modelling proficiency and well-developed corporate finance skillset
- Strong knowledge of European Utilities, ideally with established client relationships
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex financial models and company accounts
- Experience in monitoring and managing global credit lines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with both internal stakeholders and external clients
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Team orientated with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge & application of external data sources
- Self-motivated
- Advanced MS Excel, PPT, CapIQ, financial data platform (BB/Eikon)
