What is the opportunity?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our UK Digital Team as a Visualfiles Developer!
You will be involved a number and project and programmes that will help make the customers experience with Bank of Ireland UK. You will be a go-to person and subject matter expert for everything VisualFiles in our Retail UK division.
Please note this is a 24 month fixed term contract.
In this Role, you will
- Contribute to the entire development life cycle from initial business requirements phase to deployment and production support.
- Collaboratively design, plan and be responsible for implementations, working with other team members to ensure the solution is robust, efficient and sustainable.
- Solve problems, build robust solutions that will make the overall customer better, more efficient and remove problems in the journeys.
- Work with non-technical partners / business representatives.

You have a proven track record as a VisualFiles Developer with SQL Server Developer experience in working with the business users to develop their requirements into deliverable solutions.
Experience in the following is necessary to apply for this role:
- SQL Server Database expertise including coding and ETL experience.
- Experience in creating and supporting APIs
- General database and server management experience
- Experience of working with structured development methodologies

Data, Digital and Strategic Reporting centralises data, digital and customer analytics activities across the UK bank enabling standardisation, sharing of standard processes and uplifting insight development. We deliver Strategy reporting and marketing activities, acting as a central of contact for CEO and Executive Committee (ExCo).
If the role is to be on-site this is where the office location will be stated. This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the United Kingdom with the primary office location as Bristol/London. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #IJ-HYBRID
