Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What You’ll Do
The Programme Manager is responsible for leading large customer facing programmes across multiple domains on behalf of Vodafone for Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN), by leading complex multi-party teams and taking ownership at board level. Their peer within the customer organisation will be Programme Manager with direct reporting into their CTO (Chief Technology Officer) and/or CIO (Chief Information Officer) level.
- Lead contract negotiations and translate complex or ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable operational plans
- Drive stakeholder engagement and secure buy-in across diverse groups
- Define and implement programme governance controls aligned with corporate, customer, and local standards
- Emphasise assurance and gate reviews, including setting programme costs, budgets, staffing, resources, and risk/change strategies
- Ensure all projects, dependencies, assumptions, and risks within the programme are identified and managed
- Create, manage, and report on stage plans throughout the programme lifecycle, ensuring alignment with time, cost, and quality targets
- Be accountable for acceptance into live service, mitigating risks to both customers and Vodafone’s operational business
Who You Are
- Gravitas, with the ability to operate at senior stakeholder level both internally and externally, as well as demonstrating leadership and presenting at Executive & Steering board level.
- Experience of delivering large transition & transformational programmes, understanding the operational impacts of bringing a large complex customer into the organisation and maintaining service continuity.
- Engagement in contractual and commercial negotiations with both customer and partner suppliers.
- Revenue and margin focused.
- Ability to manage a large team of project personnel.
- Prince Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner or equivalent.
- Proven experience of concurrently managing multiple projects or programmes of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.
