Spiro is hiring a VP, Client Relations - to join our Sales team. The VP, Client Relations works in partnership with Account Directors, Various Department Heads and Senior Leadership to deliver best-in-class service to our clients. The VP, Client Relations strategically retains his/her assigned client portfolio, while progressing corporate strategic initiatives. Together with the Chief Growth Officer, SVP Business Operations and SVP Client Relations, builds, retains, and leads top performing sales and service teams to meet and exceed revenue and profit targets while focusing on new and existing business in assigned business segment.

Responsibilities

  • Grow client portfolio through the conversion of new business opportunities.
  • Retention and penetration of existing client accounts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance to plan targets and discuss strategies and tactics with the SVP Business Operations to ensure that plan targets are achieved.
  • Provide hands on coaching and guidance to sales teams with particular emphasis on generating leads, preparing compelling sales presentations and expanding existing account base.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and provide motivation, leadership and assistance to sales team enabling them to meet/exceed sales and client retention goals.
  • Maintain a visible presence with all local and extended team members.
  • Identify “at risk” clients and execute strategies to mitigate issues and retain the account.
  • Regularly meet with clients to build-strong relationships and ensure client needs/expectations are met.
  • Monitor actual financial performance to plan targets and implement strategies and tactics to ensure that plan targets are achieved.
  • Owner of proposals, sales presentations and the financial relationship with clients.
  • Recruit, develop and retains top talent
  • Ensure optimal resources are assigned to the right opportunities.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of the assigned business segments.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years sales and sales leadership experience preferably in exhibits, custom product/marketing solutions or advertising industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably business/marketing/communications emphasis. MBA a plus.

  • Demonstrated client and employee relationship management skills
  • Consultative communications style, effective listener, excellent written and verbal communication abilities

How to measure success

  • By 30 days, incumbent should understand team dynamics and perform basic job functions independently
  • Establish rapport with assigned Account Directors
  • Introduce him/herself to assigned client portfolio
  • Meet all key internal stakeholders
  • By 60 days incumbent should be self-reliant on basic job functions and begin executing more complex tasks such as financial performance oversight of client portfolio, relationship management of key accounts and participate in strategic initiatives meetings for VP team as well as key client meetings
