Job Description
As the Vice President of Solution Advisory, you will lead our Solution Advisory team, driving both strategic vision and hands-on execution. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our presales function, directly influencing revenue growth, solution adoption, and customer success.
This is a leadership role that demands deep technical acumen, AI expertise, and an understanding of enterprise software.
You will work closely with sales, marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver compelling solution narratives, helping clients understand how our technology transforms their business.
Your leadership will set the standard for how we engage customers, ensuring we remain the industry leader in contract intelligence.
This position could be based out of the UK or Germany.
In the UK we seek a candidate based within commuting distance of London, willing to work from our central London office (near Bank station) at least twice a week, typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
In Germany we have offices in Frankfurt and Munich.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Solution Advisory (Presales) team across EMEA.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centric problem-solving.
- Establish and scale best practices in presales execution, competitive positioning, and value-based selling.
Customer & Sales Engagement
- Partner with the sales organization to drive pipeline growth, deal acceleration, and business closure.
- Understand customer pain points and translate them into compelling solution strategies.
- Engage with C-level executives and decision-makers, articulating the business value of our platform.
Technical & AI Expertise
- Leverage your technical expertise in AI-driven solutions to help customers understand how automation, analytics, and intelligent contract management can transform their business.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in enterprise AI, machine learning, and automation.
- Drive solution innovation and differentiation in the market by integrating AI and automation into presales engagements.
Solution Demonstration & Hands-On Execution
- Be an active participant in solution design, proof-of-concept development, and product demonstrations.
- Lead from the front by personally engaging in key sales cycles, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Ensure the team is equipped to deliver best-in-class product demonstrations that showcase business value.
Collaboration & Go-To-Market Strategy
- Work with ISVs, System Integrators, and strategic partners to develop joint solution strategies.
- Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to provide field insights and shape product roadmaps.
- Develop thought leadership content, whitepapers, and industry-specific best practices.
Operational Excellence & Performance Metrics
- Establish and track KPIs for presales performance, win rates, and customer engagement success.
- Optimize processes and frameworks for delivering high-value solution assessments.
- Continuously refine the presales motion, ensuring alignment with evolving market needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in presales, solution advisory, or technical consulting in enterprise software.
- Proven leadership experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- Strong technical background with expertise in AI, automation, and enterprise software.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences.
- Hands-on approach—comfortable rolling up your sleeves to lead solution demonstrations and sales cycles.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a customer-first mindset
- 20-30% travel is expected for this role.
- Participation and attendance to the Icertis office, hybrid, is expected.
