GES are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Team based at the Excel in London.
Role Purpose
You will help manage all logistical requirements and provide warehouse assistance to the production team and ensure Covid Safe process is followed in the warehouse.

What You Will Do.
You will:
- Use Clarity to help plan jobs and control costs.
- Provide clear and accurate work updates onto Clarity to ensure all tasks are carried out as per business requirements and in a timely manner.
- Train and further develop new members of your team to ensure they feel comfortable in their understanding of their role within your team including the use of Clarity.
- Ensure all departments have all necessary materials to carry out duties.
- Work closely with production to ensure loading deadlines are met as per business requirements.
- Unloading and loading of shows from warehouse to show location within venues.
- Prepare and pack all show requirements, making sure all stock is labelled as required.
- Carry out checks using Clarity to ensure all items are loaded for each event on time.
- Work with WM on all Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out regular Health and Safety checks on all vehicles loads ensuring they all comply with VOSA regulations.
- Assist WM to ensure all processes are always adhered to.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities are highlighted to your line manager.
- Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company.
- Participate in the Company’s sustainability initiative and ensure where possible your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle, and replenish.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, corporate, client and legislative standards across the function.
- Show flexibility in respect of being asked to undertake several different skills or tasks at any time at several different times or locations.
- Represent the Company, as appropriate, in a professional manner. Keep abreast of industry trends and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position.
Relationships
You will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships both internally and externally, to facilitate growth and integration across the business.
You will be required to work collaboratively alongside and provide support to the GES employees/departments and suppliers/exhibitors/organisers.
