In partnership with National Highways, Skanska is delivering the A47 road improvement project aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing safety. We are seeking a Works Manager to join our infrastructure team in Norwich. The purpose of the role is to lead the project team to plan, coordinate and deliver the safe management of all operations activities.

What you’ll do:

  • Take ownership and lead site supervisory requirements for offline section of works, including earthworks, piling, FRC, drainage and new road construction.
  • Coordinate, build and develop the operations/client’s team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements, ensuring safety, environmental, programme and budget requirements are met.
  • Manage General Foreman, Foreman, Contractors and direct workforce.
  • Provide, monitor and control labour plant materials and work with Commercial team to allocate resources.
  • Ensure all records are updated such as inspections, work permits and briefings.
  • Carry out regular safety and environmental inspections and implement courses of action.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with others to plan works and minimise environmental and H&S hazards.

We're looking for:

  • NVQ Level 4 or above
  • Experience as a Works Manager.
  • Experience working on National Highways infrastructure projects.
  • Health & Safety and Environmental Management training (SMSTS minimum).
  • Relevant CSCS Card
