12 Month Internship - Middle Office

We are seeking a Middle-Office Intern to join our team at CASA UK's branch. This role involves participating in all Middle-Office tasks, ensuring the reporting of various indicators, supporting the Front Office department, and contributing to transversal or head office projects. The ideal candidate will exhibit key competencies in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

• Regularly produce, enhance, and automate existing reports, including liquidity gaps, liquidity stress tests, interest rate gaps, MtM monitoring, and Banque de France FIE
• Follow up on transactional regulatory reporting outsourced to CA-CIB, such as EMIR, MIFID, MMSR, etc
• Significantly contribute to developing a Front Office-support function by taking over existing activity reporting's or developing new market data monitoring tools. These tools aim to analyse funding activity, increase knowledge of the investor base on the primary or secondary market, and perform analysis on liquidity cost

Candidate Criteria

Minimum level of study

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

• Graduated within the past 18 months with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent

Skills needed

• Experience in financial services within an international environment

• Good capital market knowledge, particularly in funding and derivatives.

• Familiarity with relevant rules and regulations.

• Ability to create and develop new solutions, work with and assist other departments, and cope with Compliance/Financial Security matters

IT tools

• IT literate, proficient in Visual Basic, SQL, and ideally Python and Power BI
