About The Role

We are currently seeking a motivated Pharmacy Support Worker (Higher Level) to join our dynamic pharmacy team.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Support Worker (PSW) to join our well-established pharmacy team. Our team consists of pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacy technicians, and PSWs, all working together to ensure the safe provision of medicines across the RIE site. PSWs are key members of the service, supporting the effective and safe delivery of pharmacy services.

Your role will include assisting in the preparation and distribution of medicines, maintaining stock control, and assisting with workload in the dispensary.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop the necessary skills.

About You

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• A proactive and professional approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Qualifications:
• National 4 (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject (Biology or Chemistry).
• Educated to SCQF Level 6 and willing to undertake an in-house competency-based Group Award qualification within 12 months. Full support will be provided to complete this qualification while in post, if not already held.

As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
